Pregnancy
For those of you who have had a high risk pregnancy and had to see a perinatologist for level 2 ultrasounds, at what point in your pregnancy did your OB start sending you to one?

by thechickrox on Sep. 5, 2008 at 12:39 AMOkay, that makes me feel a little better. My dr knows I will need one but didn't seem in a rush to talk about it and said we would discuss it next time. I am 10 weeks right now so I guess I have a bit to go. Thanks! |

by Alli_Ann on Sep. 5, 2008 at 1:04 AMI'm going next week for my level 2 ultrasound because I am 35 years old, I will be 19 weeks along. I refused the blood tests and stuff like that but the level 2 will check the heart and other organs so I said ok to it.I just don't think those blood tests are accurate enough. They send women into panic mode, when sometimes things are fine. Not Me. Alli Ann |

by asil on Sep. 5, 2008 at 4:13 AMI have been high risk with both this pregnancy and my last pregnancy. I went every 4 weeks for an u/s until 32 weeks, then one every 2 weeks. This started as soon as I knew I was pregnant, so far I'm 30 weeks and will have my 6th u/s on tuesday. by croneasm on Sep. 5, 2008 at 3:25 PMBeen doing those since 12 weeks every 2 weeks, before that I was scanned (regular machine) almost every week. Unless things change I will continue to do every 2 weeks (but that may increase later on). I am 21 weeks this weekend. |
