Pregnancy
Ok I'm a first time mommy so I'm sorry if this question seems obvious. I am 36 weeks along and thursday I had my 36 week labs done. Well When they were doing the vaginal exam it was quite painful. The last few times (like the pap in the first trimester) it didnt hurt near as much. I'm pretty good with pain but this hurt. I had to bite my lip to not tell the doctor to take that damn speculum out of there. I honestly thought I would bleed after that (although I didnt). I dont think he was being rough (although he did have to move it around cause my cervix was hard to find). So like do you get more tender down there when you get further along? And if so why? No one ever bothered to tell me this. I just thought it was weird!

by chairhead28 on Sep. 6, 2008 at 9:22 PMI did and do (this is my 2nd and they say with multiple pregnancies that the body's already stretched out and it just makes crap more uncomfortable, as if we're not uncomfortable as it is, lol) as well. My doctor did a cervical check on Tuesday and I'm still sore from it. You might be because you're only 36 weeks with your first and your cervix is up high still and he had to search around for it...or the baby could be positioned differently and is pressing differently. There are a lot of different reasons. You're almost there!
