I'm a bit late posting this since Zachary was born October 10th, but its just been crazy and I haven't had time to sit down and do it. Zachary was born 4 weeks early via an emergency c-section. I woke up that morning feeling awful and as the day went on I just got worse and worse. Around 1pm I realized I hadn't felt him move at all so I laid down and had some juice and nothing. So I called the doctor and she told me to head to the hospital. When I arrived  they got me hooked up to the monitors, they took blood, started an iv and did a chest x ray to find out why I was sick.  They wanted to rule out H1N1 and the flu.  After being there for a few hours my doctor came in and did an ultrasound for 30 mins. I cant remember what its called but the point of it was to see hes chest  wall move up and down and to see some really good hard movements.  After 30 mins she said hes chest wall hasn't gone up and down and there was little movements but not want they wanted to see. She called a high risk ob gyn and he said it was best to delivery as he was in some kind of distress and they could treat me better if he was delivered. Zachary was born at 7:58 pm on October 10th 2009. He was 6 lbs and 14 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. It turned out that I didn't have the flu or H1N1 but they treated me like I did. I had to stay in my room at all times. Anyone who came in had to wear a mask and gown. I wasn't allowed visitors expect for my mom, who was my support person since hes dad isn't around.  I was on 3 antiboditcs and 2 pain killers. So I was pretty drug out most of the time. After Zachary was out they took him right away and I didn't get to see him til 3pm the next day. They said they needed to monitor him to make sure everything was ok. My mom was able to see him before they took him away though so that made me feel better. I really didn't see him much in the hospital since I was sick and they didn't want me to give it to him which I understand but I was diagnosed with pneumonia so he couldn't catch it. We were in the hospital for 5 days but Zac was born and still is perfectly healthy. Anyway I think that it. This is not how I expected to have my first baby and I really hope I don't have to go though anything similar to this in the future. But I am glad to have my beautiful baby boy here.

At the hospital.

Zachary  is now 3 weeks 5 days old .
