So, we are expecting baby #2 in Feburary! I don't know if it's because I have pretty much most of the gear from my DD leftover, but I have been eyeing some items that I would normally pass up. For instance, the Moby Wrap...Im thinking I'll get one of those. We try to get 2nd hand whenever we can, but I might have to indulge myself in a couple of new-to-me items for baby #2!
What will you splurge on? What will you cut corners on?
Here's the Moby Wrap I was talking about:
i made mine so only spend 18 bucks for 2 of em its real easy to make em

I want the moby wrap as well, one of my friend had it and loved it. They have one at target that I l have on my registry. I think we're splurging on most things since she is our first and we just are soo happy she's coming. But, also, I have an awesome mom and mil- one is getting us the travel system and the other the crib- along with a big family so I think hopefully we'll get most on our registry. If not, we have money in savings to go get the rest of it.
Where I am planning on cutting corners is the changing table- I think we'll just do a low matching dresser for it because really why can't you use a changing pad on the floor? Maybe I'm cheap but that's my opinion there. I'm not spending $300 for a "changing table" when I can find a somewhat matching dresser cheaper. We're also hoping to BF unless she's super early so I'm not registered for many bottles (though i do have a few dropins) and I don't think we'll do a pacifier.. but we'll see.
What I plan on doing is buying a chair cover (you know how they have one for couches and loveseats, well they have them for chairs too) and putting that over it so that I don't have to worry about the cleaning part. I will also probably put a thick-ish blanket in between the chair and the cover so that IF something get's spilled the thick blanket will soak it up.
Was it comfy for BFing??

I have this chair and we LOVE it! We bought it for our daughter (she was our first) We waited for a sale at babysrus and got the ottoman for free. The only thing I dont like about it is it was a little hard to clean when my daughter got the stomache virus. I put a blanket over the ottoman to help keep it clean. hth!!
