Did I miss the big O? *UPDATE*

I am on CD14 today and I took a OPK (FR) yesterday with FMU (see below...sorry the pic is so blurry) and to me it didn't quite look positive yet, so this morning I took a digital OPK and it was negative.  I've had some spotting (which I never get) and pelvic pain since Thursday, but I figured it was too early to ovulate.  My last two cycles I ovulated around CD16.  Do you think I missed it and ovulation occured a few days ago?  I've been so busy that I didn't stop to think to test a few days ago.  It won't be the end of the world if I missed it...we'll just try again next month, but I am trying to track my cycles for my appointment with the nurse practitioner next month at my annual pap/check-up.  I've been having EWCM since Thursday.  What do you think?  Did I already ovulate?

Can I use FMU with these tests or not?  I did with both.

*UPDATE *    I took another digital OPK today and it was positive.  I cannot understand why I had all those symptoms with negative OPK's since Thursday and then today it's positive.  I usually know my body like clockwork, but I guess I don't anymore.  I thought I had missed it.  On the bright side, we still get a chance to make a little one!  Wish me luck!

When I was still TTC, I was told NOT to use FMU. Also, ifI remember right, the lines should be nearly identical in color and those lines don't look nearly identical in color(as faras how dark they are). Read the package, maybe? I haven't used OPKs in over a year so I can't remember. GL to you.

I just read somewhere today that if you feel pain before you ovulate, it is just the follicle getting bigger before it releases.  I also read that it is okay not to feel pain after you ovulate.

I feel we are in the same boat.  I had EW for a couple of days and the tests were negative.  Friday night, I finally got a positive (both lines matched).  Later that night, I felt discomfort on my left side.  Well, for some reason I decided to take another test on Saturday.  Guess what?!?!?  It was more positive than Friday nights.  The test line was much darker than the control line and I still had EW.  I took another test today and now it is negative and I no longer have EW's.

Thanks for the info.  I thought for sure that I had ovulated already as I have been having spotting for two days and also pain.   I guess those OPK's are a help in a way, but they are so expensive that I try to let my body tell me when I am ovulating.  I suppose I can't solely rely on my body to tell me anymore and I will have to use OPK to confirm it.  It really is a guessing game, isn't it?  Hope you were able to take advantage of your fertile time...baby dust to you!
