My good friend calls me yesterday to tell me the exciting news that she is moving up her wedding in St. Thomas until February 2011. I am super excited for her because she was planning on August. The plan was for us to take a cruise with them and they were going to be married in St. Thomas during a port of call day. August would have worked thinking that if I was to get pregnant soon I would be able to bring the baby as it would be over 6 months (which is the minimun age of cruising on Carnival). Or if we decided to leave the kids at home (which I do not think I could do) the baby would be older to leave with my parents.
After two years of ttc and 5 miscarriages we are having a IUI this month. I am hoping it will work. (keeping my fingers, toes, hair, eyes, etc. crossed!) We have six IUI's per pregnancy all together. We will probablle try to do all six together (maybe taking a couple of months break in between).
So-If I was pregnant this month I would be due early December. The baby would be three months and too young to leave or take. Any month after this would either be the same or I would be very pregnant (which would not be very fun).
Deposits are due April 1st. The are non-refundable! (Fifty bucks a piece for my husband and I). If all of this does not work we will need a vacation desperately! If it does work (which I am praying on) then I feel like I will be jinxing it if pay the deposit!
What would you all do?
Thanks!
I agree with previous poster. What would hapen if you were late on your deposit? Also, Some cruise lines have regulations on being pregnant and how far along. I think I looked into one and it was like 5 or 6 months was the cut off. This might also help you decide. I would look into it further and probably wait until the last moment to put the deposit if you are going to. If you don't go to the wedding, it will be a dissappointment, but will be for the best reason ever!
Thanks for answering and I totally agree. I am not bummed about the new situation because I have a feeling this may be our month! I will know if the IUI worked before we have to pay deposit anyway.

Thats good to know that you'll know if your preggers before the deposit is due...I personally would not put the deposit down. but thats just me!! LOL. Like you said, if it works and your due in Dec the baby will be too little to take or leave. and if it doesnt work now but works later you could be pregnant or due by the time the cruise comes around and couldnt go again?? seems like not a good thing all around kwim?!?! hope you find your answer girl!
