I am totally new to using opks, I just used one of the free ones (not fmu) and there is a very faint second pink line (def. color to it) does that mean I will O soon or does that mean nothing?? Thanks Ladies :) And sticky baby dust to you all!!!
you shouldnt use fmu, you should test in the afternoon like 2-4 pm. The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control lilne to be positive.
not sure if this applies to all brands, but in my test faint second line means nothing... However, if you keep testing every day, you will notice that the closer you get to O the darker the line gets. For me i have found that once i see the second line that is ALMOST (but not quite) as dark as the test line, i always get a positive O test the fallowing day.
What is the harm of using fmu? I'm having OPK issues as well. This is my first cycle without my IUD and I got a positive OPK on 3/13 and then a neg with the same fmu, I did have the ovulating pain with it (but not supposed to O til 3/17!), neg 3/14, neg 3/15 but all done with fmu. But the negatives keep getting lighter each day. Did I actually O 3-4 days early on my already 24-day cycle? My last LMP didn't even end until 3/11-3/12
You should not use FMU, because its more concentrated...so you would get a dark line when you are not even ovulating (possibly). And the second line as to be as dark or DARKER than the control and that is positive. Good luck!
You shouldnt use fmu because you can miss your surge that way. Once the LH is in your system it takes 4 hours to get all the way through.
