This is my first month TTC, and I'm using an OPK, but I'm impatient and want to know approximately when I should expect my LH surge. I'm only 4 days since my last period ended, but I'm hoping to see a positive surge by this weekend. When do your surges usually happen- approximately how many days since the first day of your last period?
This is my first month on clomid and I'm supposed to O between CD14-19. Probably doesn't help you much. Do you have any idea how long your cycles normally are?
for a normal 28 day cycle, you usually ovulate on day 14-16. Counting from the first day of your period as day 1. You just have to watch your body because I usually have a 30 day cycle and the month I got pregnant, I ovulated on day 31...10 days after I thought I ovulated. Dr confirmed it was on day 31. Thankfully, we had sex just about every other day until I got my +.
Honestly, it depends. Most women's Luteal Phase is always the same (but that varies between women)....SO, if you have two women who have a 28 day cycle and one has a LP of about 15 days (like me) and the other 11....then the first would O around CD 13 and the other CD 17. In my case, I normally have a 30-32 day cycle...I tend to O around CD 15 or 16....HOWEVER, sickness, anxiety, travelling etc. can cause O delay. The only way to know your LP length is to temp consistantly.
ANYWAYS, I really suggest watching other signs like cervical mucous and/or position....temping can confirm if you O. I would start using the OPK once you start having very fertile CM (watery or egg-white).
