Preserving sperm???

Ok ladies im desperate! Next month is the last month that we are going to be able to ttc before we have to stop because it will interfere with our pcs'ing. Unfortunately my husband is going to be temporarily in florida the one week we need to bd. Is there a way we can preserve the sperm before he leaves so that i can use it while he is gone?

I have No clue.. I mean there have to be methods...look at sperm banks.. but that most likely involves expensive equipment...

yea i googled it but everything said sperm banks and all that. i dont want to go that far, but if there is a way to preserve it at home im totally for it. i just need to figure out how.

i dont know if your freezer would be the same as the ones they use in sperm banks... or how long it would last

but remember the pregnant 'man's wife insemenated him. they kept the sperm in a cooler and she turkey basted him. so maybe

So far what I have read on google is not looking good. I mean I guess you could try a deep freezer if you have one.. I just dunno..

My husband is a truck driver and is gone most of the time. We are trying IUI on Monday. I was told that my RE can save it for me for the next time. Its going to cost me about 250 to save for 6 months. Maybe you could try that?

Yea i think ill probably just say screw it. It sucks since this is the last month for a while that we can try (unless by some miracle im already pregnant from this cycle which im waiting for af to ruin). Thanks for all of your help.
