Starting to get Discouraged

My husband and I have been married for three years and we started trying to get pregnant about six months ago. So far we haven,t been able to. I know that it can take a while, especially after being on birth control for as long as I have been. But I cant help but feel heartbroken each month when my period starts. Does anyone have any tips?

I have totally been where you are!  Birth control makes it very hard for me (coming off it) to get pregnant.   Took me a year and a half to get my son and 7 months to get this baby.  Just hang in there is all that advice I have!  And try Ovulation Strips...they did help me get pregnant this time :)  GOOD LUCK!

www.fertilityfriend.com everytime I charted and temped using this site I was pregnant within 2 months at the most.

Ovulation kits at from the drug store really do work, at least like a charm for me! :o)

I have been pregnant 4 times the longest it has ever taken was 4 months and that was because we were casually trying.

The baby I am currently pregnant with came after two miscarriages and I was pregnant just over 6 weeks after the last miscarriage thanks to OPKs and fertilityfriend's charts.

Good luck!

This is a normal reaction for all of us. Getting pregnant is not as easy as everyone seems to think. Are you charting or using opk's? If you get the answer pack it will last you a month and you count from day one of af and on the 10th day you start using them. And they say it is good to bd ever other day till af just to be safe if you arent using any aides. If you use the opk's then bd everyother day till you get + and then two days straight. That way you highten your chance of catching the eggie!! GL

It took a little over 1 yr to get pregnant with my son. i would also recommend charting your temps. The things that I did differently right before getting pregnant were taking baby asprin, taking fertilaid, keeping legs propped after sex for at least 30 min, orgasm after hubby orgasms, going to the gym and eating a healthy diet with lots of fresh greens. When I chart my temps we try every other day starting a couple days before I ovulate. I hope this helps! Its good to try things that are minimally invasive first before consulting a fertility specialist. Your doctor will most likley want to see your temp chart first anyway.

I know how you're feeling...this is our 12 cycle of TTC....This month I started using preseed and instead cups during O week - hopefully that will change something!!
