Question about blue dye tests

So I hear from everyone that blue dye tests are a big no-no. I took a blue dye test at 16dpo and 17dpo and got a BFN but there was such a faint blue line that I was thinking "maybe??" but I took one again the next morning and nothing. My question is, is there more of a chance of getting a false negative or false positive with blue dye? DH and I are waiting a week before we test again but it's driving me nuts. Thanks for any advice!

i've gotten a false positive 3 times with blue dye tests. i wouldn't trust them at all unless it's a big bold positive

I've gotten false negatives with blue dye. I took a FRER and EPT same day and got a faint positive with FRER and a bfn with ept. I've heard that false positives are common too.  I dont even bother with any blue dye test anymore.
