I went to the doc today...

I went to the doc today for an infertility appointment. We have been trying for 10 months. My doc told me that we have to be trying for a year and since we had a mc only 4 months ago the time started over and so now we have only been trying for 4 mo. WTH! That just makes me mad that its prolonging my help even more now. She didnt tell me anything new. She just wants me to start charting. I am new to charting and opks. What are the best opks to use? What is the best online charting to use? Thanks ladies. I always appreciate your advice.

Hey,

I can't believe that she said it would start all over with the miscarriage.  That is totally bogus.  I would definitely keep your first month trying officially as your  first month.  I agree with the charting though.  They cannot really determine if there are any issues unless you have that sort of information available.  When I had my first infertility appointment, I had charts for 7 cycles at the ready.  They really helped her determine that there was nothing wrong with my cycles LOL.

I really hope that you have better luck in a few months and no more miscarriages.

Good luck!

Yeah I was mad. I should have been charting a long time ago. I was just scared of it because it looks hard.

I use the Clearblue Easy Digital tests.  It takes the guesswork out of trying to figure out the darkness of the line.  Lol  Besides, I just love seeing that smiley face pop up!   I don't chart, so I can't help you there.  Good luck!

On dec. i had a m/c and my doctor told me i had to wait i yr and i was WTH a yr?? so i was super upset and and changed doctor my new doctor said that he didnt think i should wait a yr. just 2-3 cycles and he helped me with infertility drugs with no problems and i am now 20 weeks pregnant!! I just think the best thing would be to get other opinions and see whose willing to help you faster. Good luck and i really hope you get a faster help!!

Wow, i agree to get second opinion! i had been ttc 21 cycles and had a miscarriage and was reffered to an infertility specialist. I have also just started charting. i see alot about fertility friend but its so confusing for me and instead i have a period app that also i can chart and use opk's with it also. Best of luck!!!!
