How long does it usually take to get into REs?

Stupid doctors!!

I called Monday morning for a referral to a RE.  Finally get a call back this morning with actual appointment info (my OBs nurse did call yesterday & say that they had sent in the referral).  Tuesday JANUARY 10!!  At 9 a.m. - keep in mind that this is a 90 minute drive for me.  Which they know.  Oh, and I'm supposed to bring my DH just in case they need to do a sperm analysis.  Sure, that works perfectly for him.  Not like he has any college classes to teach or anything.  I really hate how they do things - they just make appointments for you.  No consulting with you on your schedule.

Man do I hate doctors sometimes.

Thank goodness I already had him to a sperm sample so he may not need to go.  Although, he would want to.  Thank goodness I don't actually have anything going on that morning - DS isn't in preschool on Tuesdays, its the 2nd Tuesday so no MOPS.

Also thank goodness I talked to my naturopath yesterday & she gave me a referral to another naturopath who may know more.  That doctor could have gotten me in on this Thursday - I actually made the appt & then realized it just doesn't work for me.  So now I'll see her next Wednesday.  I hope she has a magic solution - or something that may help in the meantime.  We should have DH's sperm analysis back by then, maybe she can even just give me something for him.

My RE was really good and took a while to get into as well. Once you get into heavy fertility treatments, you are there almost every day and they schedule when ever can fit you. I don't know how anyone with a job is able to manage it! Hopefully you get BFP before then and it won't matter :)

Some specialist I go to such as an endocrinologist and the first ENT I was referred to schedules 1 month out for first visit, so 2 months seems kind of long but maybe it's such a long wait because they are the best around!!

I found another ENT that the wait time was only a week so I went to him instead. I"m not a patient person :D

Holy wow!!!! I love an hour away from a big city (Phoenix) so I have a ton to choose from and I got an appt in less than 2 weeks. It would have been sooner but we have to go on my dh's day off.

That is insane you have to wait that long! But your dh is probably going to need to go when dealing with REs. They will treat both of you if needed.

Can you call them and get on a cancellation list or see if they have any sooner appts?

I made an appt. in December and had to wait all the way until February.  Busy clinic, I guess.  Good luck and I hope you get some answers, Gwen!  :)
