He is wanting to seek help already???

DH and I have been TTC since May of this year. And we did get pregnant once but it ended in a MC. This morning when I showed him my chart and my temp drop he said "Why don't we go and get me tested?" I told him that we got pregnant once and that we can do it again. It seemed to make him feel better. But I am not sure if he really does want to go and seek help now or not. I think its his age that has him worried. He is 43 years old ( I am 27 years old) and he doesn't have any children of his own. When he was still married to his ex wife she did get pregnant once but unfortuantely it ended in a double tubal pregnancy. So my DH has lost 3 children, and I am thinking that the stress of loosing those children may be playing a role in him wanting to get help this soon. I am not sure when we should seek help, some say wait a year and others say wait 6 months. I think I am going to talk to him tonight after we put DS to bed. What do you ladies think?

Because of his age he should get tested and for your age the doctor will probably see u also. My friend's husband is 45 and she's 28 and after 6 months the doctor tested them both...good luck hun :)

Usually you won't be seen until after a year, they'll send you to see a fertility specialist. Or your doctor may just submit for testing him/herself. TTC is very frustrating. Being that he is older, it wouldn't hurt to get tested. Even if you have got pregnant once before. I'm sorry for your loss.

A semen analysis (SA) is easy to do, and your doctor may be more willing to do that before doing testing on you first. Since women's repoductive systems (hormones, all the organs, etc) are so much more complicated than that of a man's, it may be easier to just get him tested....if anything to just rule that out. It's been at least 6 months in your ttc journey, so your doctor will probably be willing to get him tested. Good luck hun.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in an attractive and preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways......chocolate in one hand, wine in the other; body used up, totally worn out ....and screaming: "Woo Hoo, What A Ride!"

He was tested a few years ago when him and his ex were TTC and the doc said he was ok. I was also tested when my ex and I were TTC, of course that was almost 5 years ago, and  I checked out ok too. But should I go ahead and call the doctor and ask them anyways??

Thanks for the advice ladies! I appreciate it. I am going to talk to DH and then probably call the doc this week or next and see what they say about it too. Thanks again!
