to an RE? I have an apt for March 2nd, and I was just wondering what it was like? How soon after meeting w ith them did you fall pregnant?

Df an I have been trying for 2 years. in those 2 years have lost 2 babies. I have lost 3 but the 1st wasnt tried for. I am just wondering because df will be 20 march 24th and I just turned 21 on the 11th. as soon as df turns 21 (2013) we plan on taking our foster parent classes if we are not pregnant or have a baby by then. We are both done with school and searching for better jobs but have income. been buying stuff randomly so we dont have to spend a ton before baby is here. Just looking for adivce. Please and thank you!

They will do lots of blood work family history stuff like that. Because of all of your losses sounds like you need genetic counseling

It really isn't a lot different than a regular doctor except that they do a lot more testing, ask a lot more questions and actually know more about infertility than your normal OB would know. No worries! This will be a great help for you!

My fam dr is the one that referred me to this lady. Not my OB. As of right now I "fired" my OB because she treated me like crap over my 3rd loss. and my family dr wrote it up as the reason for us seeing her for reccurent miscarriages cause if she wrote it as infertility my insurance wouldn't cover it. I am just scared that when we get there and the tests are done insurance will notice its for infertility and not want to cover any of it. I am still under my mother's insurance through her work because I am in school almost done and under 25

I don't go to an RE. I did go to a fertility specialist for a year about a year ago. We have been trying for 4 almost 5 years for our first and I have had 3 known losses and many more suspected losses. My advice to you is to start tracking your cycles, its best to do so by charting your temperature, if you go to fertilityfriend.com you can learn about charting and you can even use the site to chart. Doing that will let your RE know more in depth what your cycles are doing. Good luck and baby dust.
