So my period came back when DD was about 6 mo, and became regular about 4
cycles ago (she's 12 mo now) It has been back to normal like clockwork
every 28 days. DH and I have been TTC ever since my period returned but
then this month was a bit weird, I'm not sure if I even ovulated this
month because I had very few symptoms of ovulation. I thought maybe I had an anovulatory cycle. Then on day 28 I
had just a little brown spotting and then nothing, now 4 days later I
still have nothing. I took a pregnancy test yesterday but it was
negative. So I'm just wondering if maybe since I'm still breastfeeding
could my cycle just randomly be irregular all of a sudden even though it
never has been in the past? Or if I did have an anovulatory cycle would my period not show up? Or could it be possible that I am pregnant and just hasn't shown up yet? I'm so confused...
You could be pregnant, and ovulated late, so it would take longer to have the positive. Or you could have not ovulated, in this case you´d have a light period, or not even have a period at all...
If I don't have a period at all then would I possibly count the spotting as day 1 of my cycle and just look for ovulation again? Did that make sense LOL?

If you are having an annov cycle, you would get your period at some point (although it isn't technically called your period, its estrogen break through bleeding, but looks like a period). Annov cycles can be long, though.
Breastfeeding can definitely cause your cycles to be whacky, even when they've been normal.

I have the SAME doubt! But I don't think you could consider spotting the day one, because it' not a real period. My doctor told me to take progesterone for 5 days when the period doesn't show. What does your doctor say about ir? Does anyone else have experience?
