im 4 weeks and 4 days today. i feel like every itty bitty cramp or twinge is me miscarrying, i know my hCG levels are going up because my pregnancy tests are getting darker. BUT i cant help but not get too attached yet because i could still easily miscarry. my question is, has anyone felt this way, like me, but actually had success? i really need positive advice :( i go in for blood work, a pap smear, and urine test at my OB on february 29th (ill be 6 weeks and 5 days then).
on friday (when i was 4 weeks) very very light line.
on sunday, (4 weeks and 2 days)
Yep! I know the feeling. We miscarried early on and then got pregnant w/out trying not long after. I felt menstrual like cramping fairly often. As my uterus grew the little cramps and pains would show up again and I was told it was perfectly normal. We even had a scare just as I started my second trimester where I saw blood, once. I took it easy and rested for that day and nothing else happened. So, just try to remain calm and positive! It's really the best thing you can do for your sanity and for your baby.
*hugs* This pregnancy has been a rollercoaster of emotions that is for sure! One thing I did this time was buy a fetal heart doppler. Best decision I could have made. In the 1st trimester esp, you are the most nervous. I also did a lot of praying, and kept my faith. Hoping you have a healthy and happy pregnancy :)

Yes maam. I had 2 miscarriages, so when I finally got pregnant again after many months of trying, it was very hard for me to get excited in fear of another miscarriage. But to be honest, you have to let that go. Stay positive and on track with taking care of your health. I would call you dr to ask him for a progesterone perscription just in case. Since we don't know what causes miscarriages its best to be safe than sorry. Cover all your bases. I called my dr as soon as I got my bfp and he gave me the vaginal suppositories immediantly.
Dont overstress your body. Just try to relax some cramping is normal in early pregnancy your body is going threw a lot of changes and before you kno it youll see an ultrasound and fall completely in love!!
thats what happened with my daughter! :) im trying to calm down though. haha. i know im still early and my body has to go through changes still.. but i cant help but think what if! im trying to stay positive though, its just hard to get too attached :(

yes we had m/c at 13 weeks in 2010, baby had chromosome probs, now i am preg 13 weeks with healthy baby...good luck
Yes. I had a mc before dd and I was so scared the moment I got that BFP. Plus, like you, I was super crampy with dd (way worse than any pregnancy cramps and way worse than my mc). My doctore told me it was just my uterus growing and she was right, because I ended up with a healthy baby girl.
One thing that really helped me was the reassurance of early blood tests. My doctor ordered blood tests as soon as I got my BFP, so I knew very early that my hcg was doubling. Then, we did an ultrasound at 6.5 weeks and saw the heartbeat. I was still really nervous through the first trimester, but every pregnancy symptom gave me hope. And when we got to the 12 week ultrasound and saw a fully formed, recognizable baby moving around in there, it was amazing.
Congratulations and Good luck to you! Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!
