Ovulation day is today?

So today I was invited to someones house and the whole day there I had cramps on my right side I am thinking I ovulated today but I usually don't get ovulation cramps so this is new or unless its just cramps or something else. But I know I am supposed to ovulate soon cuz the past few days I had lots of cm and also my cervix has been open for about 3 days now. And if I did that would be a nice valentines day gift but I won't know for sure since I'm not temping or using opks so I will just have to wait til the end of the month to test. 

So I have a question: how long does the cervix stay open like does it close after ovulation day or wut.

Really not sure how long the cervix stays open.  I think it should close soon after ovulation, but I also know women who have it stay open.

Its different with every woman so it wouldnt be accurate to compare it to other womens cervixes.
