At my first u/s at almost 9 weeks the yolk sac is still there. The tech said the placenta forms later on but I got an email from babycenter week by week preg and it said it should be there now? Got me a tad worried but doc and tech said all looked good. Thoughts?

In nursing we r taught that roughly 12 weeks is when the placenta takes over. Don't worry at 9 weeks a yolk sac is completely normal :). Good luck momma !

I didn't have an u/s at that time I had one at 8w3d and the yolk sac was there at 12 weeks 1day when I went in for my integrated screen and the placenta was there.
