I'm 40 and trying to have a family. I've been trying 1.5 years, and it's still not happening! This is my 5th month getting inner uteran inseminations, and taking clomid. I just found out a friend who's 50 is marrying a 25 year old phillipino girl and she's pregnant with his baby. I feel like a giant jerk. I should be happy for him, but I feel envious and depressed. I am happy for him, but also bummed it's. It happening for us. My husband doesnt understand how disappointing it is for me every month when im not pregnant. This is so hard and emotional! I feel like I'm going crazy.... Or is it just the fertility drugs? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance for any advice!

It is very hard not to get pregnant, I feel miserable every month. Nowadays many women are postponing pregnancy, so of course it will happen for you! If we don't believe, who will? It's very difficult to keep faith, but we must believe our time will come. Good luck to us!

My aunt tried ivf 6 times and kept miscarring over a period of 15 years. She has hostile eggs or whatever it is called.. Basically her eggs attack and kill sperm and her DHs sperm didn't swim. When she was 42, they decided to try it one more time.. Last batch and her beautiful daughter is going to be two on the 25th. So yes it can happen for anyone!!
