Approx. 20-30% of women experience some sort of spotting during early pregnancy (15-20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, mostly early losses called missed miscarriages), bleeding during the first trimester CAN be completely normal, HOWEVER it should be address as it could be cause for concern (such as subchorionic hemorrhage or low progesterone), bleeding during the second or third trimester is much more alarming as there are fewer 'normal' reasons for it.
So with that said, I never bleed during my 1st two pregnancies AT ALL, but at 4.5w with my 3rd I started spotting (I knew something was off becuz I never 'spot').......needless to say I had low progesterone & would have miscarried if not for being put on supplements!!!
Its worth a test, if you are make sure to contact your OB right away. GL & FX ![]()
