That depends. My two kids are 18 months apart because I wanted them close. I started trying for #3 when my youngest was 2. He'll be 5 in April, and we're still trying, lol.

my first 2 are 14.5months apart. And I'm trying to talk Dh into the next 2 being that close.

No, its not wrong.  Spacing of children is very personal, everyone has a different idea about what works the best.  You should do what makes sense for your family.

I personally like the advantages of close in age siblings more than the disadvantages - the work part gets easier pretty quickly & they are likely to be close & be good friends.  My sons are 20 months apart & I love it!
