Finally BFP , hcg levels but worried(TMI) help

Posted by   + Show Post

Hi i finnayl got my BFPon april 11th, my LMP was march 12th and i ovulated late on march 31st(cd 20) so i went to the dr yesterday and got a blood test. They said that i am pregnat and that my hcg level is 20. i was 12 dpo yesterday. Do u ladies think that HCG level is to low for 12dpo, i havent had any bleeding. i had some slight spotting after a bowel movement but it stopped instantly after i was done. Any idea if that is a bad sign. this is my first baby so trying to figure stuff out. Do u ladies think it could be a ectopic. Im having some slight cramping on the left side lower around ovary kinda and middle of my tummy not bad at all just mild, no bleeding tho . What do u ladies think hope it sticks. is that hcg level to low. I got back on monday for another blood test

I had an ectopic and at 6 weeks I was only at 600 or so. With that being said nothing (other then an ultra sound) can be told with one blood draw you need at least 2 to compare. HCG levels in Ectopic pregnancys increase slower most of the time. 17% of the time they will increase normally. You need an ultra sound to even think that. Don't worry just relax.

How was your progestrone? Mine was only 2 with my ectopic and with this pregnancy I was at 20.6 to start  anything over 10 in unassisted pregnancy is considered ok.

I hope everything is ok and praying for you and your little bean.

Don't worry so much...mine at 11dpo was 16. And Im now almost 15 weeks pregnant. It's not so much what the number is but that it has a doubling/tripling every 2-3 days.

I had an ectopic and at 7 weeks my hcg was 789. It tripled normally my first two draws at 5 weeks. I had pains in the lower right side, almost in the crease of my leg, so very low. Felt a lot like nagging ovulation pains. I had a stomach full of blood, but very little pain, which my Dr said was strange. I lost my tube.

This time my hcg was 11 @ 9dpo and 34 @ 11 dpo, then 549 at 18dpo. Best of luck to you!
