Is vaginal bleeding normal after laparoscopy?

I have surgery Friday and ever since Friday I've had vaginal bleeding as heavy as a period, is this normal?

The doc told me I could bleed on and off for a week but I only bled the day of surgery and alittle the day after. I am not sure if anything has changed since 2008 but it is possible they have changed the amount of days of bleeding since then. Hope everything stops soon and you are feeling well soon.

I only bleed when I pass gas lol and go pee and I only have to change my pad twice a day but when I pee it comes all out like a period gushing out its gross i just didnt know if it was normal or not

I had laparoscopic gall bladder removal surgery.. i know its not the same but I had vaginal bleeding and spotting for a week after and a delayed period. I hear that it is normal.

 It is normal. I had a lap to clean out some endo and I had moderate bleeding on and off for about a week. Hang in there!

I bled a little bit on and off for about 5 days but it wasn't like a period, more like spotting.
