bad news mayb miscarriage or ectopic help

Well I saw my doc today because this morning I saw some red blood and I was worried.thru my pregnancy so far I hav only had little brown spotting.I hav to go in tomoro for scan because she said she wana be sure its not ectopic but jus now I went to pee I wiped and saw the blood again it was kinda a lot an I was hoping I'm not miscarrying but I took a test jus now jus to see an it was positive.I was wondering how long is the miscarying process an if I was then wud a hpt stil b positiv? Help I'm so worried but I'm praying and hoping dat evrything is ok

When I had my ectopic I new it wasn't a miscarriage because the cramps I was getting were so severe, I felt so ill and the bleeding was very deep plum in colour, I lost my tube. My fingers are crossed for you, I hope everything is alright xxx
