TTC - Trying to Conceive TTC - Trying to Conceive

What else can I do?

I temp, check my CM, CP, take prenantals and asprin and I use OPKs. We BD every other day and we have even used Preseed a few times. My DH doesn't want to go to the doctor just yet. I have to have a pap in June so we wants to wait until then to talk to the doctor but he doesn't want to go to a specialist until we have been TTC for 2 years without getting pregnant. So, what else can I do at home to increase my chances? I do lay still for 15 mins after sex to give the sperm time to find their way. I thought about using the instead (sp) cups but I am not sure if they actually help or not. I don't want to use anything that will hurt my chances of concieveing. Is there anything that you ladies do that could increase my chances?

My DH is the same, dose not want to go to the doctor just yet. Your doing more than I am thats for sure. I temp and we have lots of sex, I lay still after to. But thats about it. I was checking my CM but i never find anything other then creamy so I havent been doing that. I take prenatial vitamens too. Ive been doing th old wives tale things my mom suggests, eating graprfruit, drinking a ton of water, staying away from garlic..... things like that. DH has quit hot yoga and getting into the hot tub... but thats it.thinking about starting to do more.

I really encourage you to go ahead and see a specialist.  I wasted 2 years ttc because DH and I said the same thing and a specialist saw in a few minutes what my idiot Dr could not see through multiple surgeries and sonagrams- a fibroid the size of a grapefruit dead in the middle of my uterus.  Your problem might not be so obvious but if your insurance pays for your to see an infertility specialist they are so much better.  All my Dr wanted to do was put me on Clomid which is stupid if you ovulate regularly why would you take a drug to force ovulation?  Good luck to you!!

My DH was reluctant to say the least! However, I've learned it's like any dr. Appt for a man, if it involes them they'll find an excuse not to go. A physical, the dentist, it took me 3yrs of marriage to realise he would never take time from work or reschedule a meeting if I made these appts for him. But, anytime I asked him to support me, he was there no question! So, that's what I did. "Sweetie, I'm having a little female trouble. Would you mind going with me to my appt?". The moment he heard & saw the concern on my doctors face when I 'mearly' mentioned our efforts to concieve hadn't worked for over 2yrs. That's all it took! I wish I could say we are prego but, still praying for a BFP! Hope this helps.

Thanks for advice ladies. I think I will talk to my DH more about seeing a specialist. I am also going to see what all my insurance will pay for.
