Too early with clomid? *now with OPK pics* if you're weird like me and like to see them.

I know you have to wait a little while before you take an OPK after ending clomid....but i'm doing the Sperm Meets Egg Plan which says to start OPK's on CD8.

I finished my last dose (100mg) of Clomid Friday night at 9pm (may 18th)....did an OPK saturday just for shits n gigs (very obviously negative).

I took one about 2pm today, CD9, and it was much darker but not positive. So i just decided i'd take another later just in case.

I just took one again about 7:30pm and it was a little darker still.

Is 48 hours after a dose long enough to wait before trusting an OPK's results?

these are the darkest OPK's i've ever gotten (and i've never had a positive).

yeah you should be fine. Thie 1st cycle I did Clomid I started taking OPK's on CD8 too. The colors got darker then light and almost disappeared then turned positive at CD16. Hang in there!

my dr said to wait a few days from the last pill. Clomid can cause false +'s so that's why they say to wait. As long as you give yourself a few days you should be fine!

I normally finish my clomid on CD 9 and don't test until 11 so it sounds like what you're getting is right. GL!

The CD8 OPK was Saturday at 2pm. Less than 24 hours after ending clomid.

The CD9 OPK's were taken at 2pm (top) and 7:30pm (bottom).

I would think that the OPK taken closer to the last dose would be more likely to be a false positive than the 48 hour one.....but it's pretty light.
