Hi Everyone!

DH and I are planning on TTC in August. This will be our first time! I'm a little nervous/excited. Any advice?

I also have PCOS. Has anyone (or know anyone) been successful in concieving w/o fertility treatment help?

Knowing that there is a chance I might have difficulty gives me a little anxiety. Looking for some reassurance and postitiviy! Thanks : )

I think I have PCOS. I go to the dr tomorrow to find out. My Dh cousin has it. She had not had a period in 2 years and conceived 2 girls. They are 15 months apart in age. She was told she may never have kids and she has 3.

Good luck! I'd really like to know how everything works out. Spreading lots of baby dust!

I have PCOS. I am not taking any medications for it at this time. This is my first month TTC and we are charting with temps and using OPK.

I have PCOS. Charting, temping, and OPKs are wasted efforts for most women with PCOS due to the elevated hormone levels. I tried all of them and neither worked correctly for me. Plus, all of these things are for pinpointing ovulation, and most women with PCOS either do not ovulate on their own, or rarely do.
If you are looking for a natural remedy, it is weight loss, exercise, and healthy diet. Many women can cure themselves this way.
For me, I found my PCOS was caused by insulin resistance, which is common. I was prescribed Metformin (a diabetic medication) and a diet. I followed both religiously, lost 30 pounds, and got pregnant on my first normal cycle since starting.
Good luck, and don't expect to get pregnant right away. It took me over a year. With dedication and hard work, you can get pregnant.

I have PCOS and wasn't able to conceive naturally. I went through 6 rounds of Clomid and with the last round I had lost 15 lbs. I am currently 6 weeks. :)

Try losing weight if you are overweight. I have PCOS but it has not been DX yet. Trying to schedule fertility check up to get it DX. They will recommend losing weight before fertility drugs. I have not yet been able to conceive and need to lose weight anyway for my health and my heart.
