anyone at the IUI step in this baby making process?

This cycle is pretty much a wash for me... did 4 unsucessful cycles of clomid through my ob/gyn and had a RE consult on 6/7. Did a whole bunch of labs that day and then again on CD3 (saturday 6/30). All my labs were WNL and my U/S was normal with 14 follicles. I go for my HSG on Friday. Next cycle we will do my first IUI with clomid and overil (sp?).

Anyone else at a similar point? Im feeling pretty isolated in this process as none of my friends have had to do this.

Your situation sounds like mine! I did 4 clomid cycles (jan-april) and nothing. I had an HSG in april and I am all clear and open. I took May off and we went on a cruise during my fertile time to try to relax and of course nothing. So I got a referral to a specialist which I had my consult last Tuesday and I got my period Wednesday so on Friday (cd3) I had my ultrasound (21 follicles) and my blood work. I was really hoping to get the iui this month but I have to wait 2 weeks for results of blood work and then at that appointment (july 17), we talk about treatment options. I will prob get the IUI. He said I could do the laparscopy, which I want to do but I don't at the same time. I understand your feelings as I don't have anyone to talk to and its really starting to wear on me. :( I hope your HSG goes well. I hope your next cycle is the one. Keep me updated! :) I really hope the first IUI is the only one we have to go through! sorry so long :)

I know how you feel.  I have 1 son who will be 3 in November.  We did not have any troubles with him and now we have been trying for a over a year and half.  I did 7 months of Clomid and 2 months of Femara with 2 IUI's.  I am waiting to see if the 2nd IUI, Femara and trigger shot worked this round. I also did a HSG test and it was clear.

After my doctor's treating me for awhile.  We finally found out that my husband has a partial blockage and that is why we are not getting pregnant.  The doctor's don't think he had the blockage with our son.  The doctor's don't know why it happens.... frustrating...  So if this IUI doesn't work my husband will have to have a surgery and hoping that will work if this doesn't.  The doctor's think we will have a 50-70% higher chance at conceiving however there are risks to every surgery so that is why we are trying 2 IUIs before we go that route.  We would hate to do the surgery and make it worse but we just have to keep our faith.

Hang in there Ladies.  If you want to chat, send me a message.  It's hard when all your friends and family members are getting pregnant left and right and asking when are you going to have another... I know it gets to be a lot...

Baby Dust Ladies and God Bless!

I'm currently on day 7 of clomid and we are going for 10-12 days this time. If it works I will be getting a trigger shot with IUI at the end of the week. I'm nervous about it and not really sure what to expect, but hopefully we get some good results!

I have a question about IUI.  This is going to be my first IUI and the RE told me to wake up at like 6 and take a ovulation test every morning starting cd12.  I took the clomid like she said and started taking the ovulation tests.  Well this morning I woke up took the test and it showed the line getting darker but not quite there so I thought no I won't ovulate today definitely tomorrow.  I decide to take another test at like noon today and it shows a positive.  Should I be concerned.  Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get the IUI and I was wondering is this going to decrease my chances?

my dh and i have decided that if it doesnt happen for us by next summer we will be doing IUI.  My gyn will not give me clomid.  She said it would be too much medication.  (maybe because i'm not the one with issues and its my dh with low count)

I am past the point of first IUI, i just had my 4th this past saturday, but i have done 3 cycles of clomid and trigger shot and will be happy to answer any questions you may have, i was lost my first month too!  I have moved to injectables, my RE said if 3 months of clomid did not work then it will not work with IUI.

I am now thinking about IUI.  I did 4 months of clomid and all I got was a  vein thrombosis.  I need to find another RE, because the one I was using does not want to deal with risks from thrombosis.  I know I need to take Clomid for the IUI, so I will be monitored.  As soon as I find a new RE, I schedule a HSG, then start Clomid on day 3.  Wish me luck!

If anyone has developed phlebitis due to Clomid, please let me know.  Thank you!
