Ok so i had my last period june 22, it was normal to me ( how it had been for a few month) where the first whole day of it is real heavy and all the other days are very light. well... here i am 12 days after it and im spotting... and i have been for 3 days now. its not alot but noticeable when going to the bathroom. I am sooo confused as to why it is happening. I have been birght pink, pink, red and darker.... this is not normal for me. something similiar happed a few months ago but that was around mid cycle and only last a day or so. also since i had my son a year ago im all out of wack, used to be an every 28 days kinda girl and now its can be anywhere from 35-42 days... im just not sure at what point i should be concerned and see a DR. Any ideas on what could be causing this spotting? thanks for the insight.

It could be implantation spotting, it's the right color

too soon for implant spotting.  Light spotting can occur with ovulation as well. Usually this blood is older and brown in color but not always.  Rough sex and or  irritated cervix can also cause spotting.  If you don't think that your cervix is irritated I would lean towards ovulation spotting.  Never hurts to double check with the nurse at your DR. office though

Its possible. If your period is irregular too you may ovulate at inconsistent times. You can ovulate right after a period.
