I have a friend who is TTC and her husband is a type 1 diabetic and they have been trying to get pregnant for the last year with no success. Is there anything she can try that might help her chances. Any info will be helpful. Thank you!!!

If she has been trying a year with no luck it is time to move onto seeing her gyno and start getting tested to see what is wrong. It takes a normal fertile couple a yr to get pregnant and after that year is when its time to see whats going on. She can get some ovulation strips, a basal body thermometer which can be bought at most stores and start charting to temps to detect ovulation. She can chart her temps on fertilityfriend.com. Also tell her to get the book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" this book will teach her a lot about her body and what signs to look for.

After ttc for a year, and not achieving pregnancy, they should probably visit a doctor and voice their concerns.
