progestrone- oral/vaginal (are these the same pill?)

Okay the title makes me sound silly, but I was just perscribed progestrone to help support a new pregnancy and the instructions said "vaginally"  Well I pulled out my perscrption from my prior pregnancy and it is the same strength and even the exact same pill and those instructions say "take by mouth"  I know 100% sure it is the same pill.  So can both instructions be correct?  Or is one of the instructions incorrect for that pill.  Honestly looking at the pill it looks like an "insert" instead of an oral because it is glossy and large.  Anyone know?

My doc told me that when I get pregnant again, he will put me on progesterone (vaginally or orally).  It seemed to me that they were two different pills.  He said either one works, but the school of thought is it's better to go vaginally and get it right to the spot where it's needed most. =)

Since the instructions say vaginally, I'd do it that way.
