We are looking at doing a preconception checkup before we TTC in Oct. How far in advance should we do the checkup compared to TTC?

I'm taking a prenatal vitamin currently :) Not a prescription one, just an OTC from Walmart. I just want to have my body as prepared as possible for our best chances of conception.

You don't need a script one I'm 36 weeks and still take Wal-Mart gummies

I've wondered this as well. I just started taking a OTC prenatal. Thinking about scheduling a preconception visit next month an hoping to star TTC in July.

I could be wrong but nowadays I think the OTC prenatals are what you take no matter what, like even when you become pregnant. My doc said that the most important thing about those is that they have 800 MG of folic acid.

I would go for your checkup when TTC is on the radar. Like you know you'll be actively charting/trying next cycle or two. That way your doc can get a good read on your current hormone levels, general wellness, etc.
