TTC - Trying to Conceive TTC - Trying to Conceive

Needing some information

My husband and I have been TTC since May 2011 with no luck. I was seeing a ferility specialist while my husband was in the army, but now that he's out we no longer have one. I had my hsg done and they saw no problems, I was getting ready to be started on clomid and sadly my husband got out before we could. His sperm count was fine but they are a little slow lol. My current doctor wont even refer me to a specialist because I am over weight. We are trying to find some natural fertility aids, and I have found a few. I was wondering if any of you ladies had tried any that worked? I am thinking about Fertileaide for women, any suggestions? Thanks! **Baby dust to all**

For natural stuff I recommend using the site naturalfertilityinfo.com I use it. I just started doing the fertility smoothies this month and will be doing her fertility cleanse in April. Good luck and hope you find something that works.

Thank you so much, I hope we can find something as well. I read that fertileaid can cause your cycles to go whacky so I think I am going to hold off on that. Checking out the link you gave me, Thanks again! Baby Dust=)!

The FertilAid made mine go wacky when I took it and one month of a wacky cycle was enough for me.

Im overweight and I have NEVER had a doctor refuse to treat me. (I also have PCOS).  I get the lecture of course "You know that because of your weight we have to monitor you more closely for diabetes and HBP and u shouldnt gain more than 20lbs etc.." but ive never been denied treatment or referral....find a new doc.

Good luck, hon!

It's the whole fat phobia I swear. It annoys the living tarnation out of me, I am type 2 diabetic, but it's under control and my hga1c is at 6.5 which is perfect for pregnancy with diabetcs. I am praying with the weight I am losing and some natural herbs, we can get this bun a cooking.. lol. I am glad to hear you've never had the problems I am going through. It sucks when so many people are against you. Baby dust-)!

I have always been super concerned with my weight and when I saw my fertility specialist she has emphasized repeatedly that age is more of a factor than weight.  That has made me feel better as I lost so darn slowly.  I am down 47 pounds and she is my biggest supporter honestly.  You need to find a new doctor.  My clinic does have BMI restrictions for IVF, but they also have smoking and age restrictions also.  Seek advice from another doctor and I wish you tons of luck!
