WARNING! Heating Pad NOT a Good Idea if...

If you KNOW you're a heavy bleeder, whatever you do, DON'T use a heating pad. My cramps were really bad last night, so I used the heating pad for about 10 mins, that's it, not too long. Well I woke up in the middle of the night and the bleeding had gotten SOOOO heavy that I was soaking a pad in a matter of 15 mins. So I called the local nurse and she said that the heat is what made the bleeding heavier and to instead of using a heating pad, use ice and take tylenol. That sucked! It's slowed down a LITTLE but not much, she said it could take until this afternoon for the bleeding to slow down, but if it doesn't then I need to be seen. It's EASTER!! so I really hope it slows down.. :/

Anyway, just wanted to let you know..

I really thought it would help, but actually, it's the complete opposite, I took the nurses advice and used an ice pack and took a cool bath and it's helped tremendously! I also had a glass of wine to relax in the bath, that probably helped some too lol

I'm a heavy bleeder with 2 week periods every period I take 800 mg of ibuprofen as it helps in restricting the blood flow.

I take it as well, but it doesn't really effect my flow. :(

Great... At the moment I'm in a really nice hot bath... I'm on day 1 and I go super heavy right from the start.
