Might be TMI for some lol, but anyways Hubby and I decided to try the at home IVF, I talked to a new Fertility specialist today and brought the idea up to her and she said it was a good idea and to give it a shot. I am over weight as I have said in many of my posts so I am afraid maybe the peneitration is not deep enough (silly I know lol). Have any of you tried this? Sorry if this was TMI for some lol.

(Forgot to mention) Our new FS supplied us with the items to do it and it was only 5.00 out of pocket!

She gave us a medical syringe with a small cathador, saline that is free of any other chemicals for extra sterilazation and a few collector cups and condoms for which ever we chose to use! She advised using the collector cup as it is easier than the condoms to get the spermies in it, DO NOT put the cathador in your cervix lol she like blunty said it too haha, she also gave us a spectrum and a little medical flash light! The day we get our + opk do it for 2 days after. She said to put it as close to the cervix as you can and slowly let it out so it pools ( i chuckled a little when she said pools for some reason).

Sorry for any typos and miss spellings. Super sleeply tonight and do not feel like proof reading haha.

You mean IUI and IVF. IVF is where they take the eggs out and your dh gives a semen sample and they take the sperm and either put them in a dish together or do ICSI and inject the sperm into the eggs. Once the eggs fertilize and become embryos 3-5 days later they put 1-2 back in. I have heard of the at home IUI and I wouldnt do it due to high risk of infection and from other ladies and boards I have read that having sex and doing an IUI at home is no different. The at home IUI is mainly for guys who have an erection problem. Good luck and I hope it brings you a bfp.

Also you could use a softcup and it would work just the same, if not better. It keeps the sperm right there at your cervix.
