TTC - Trying to Conceive TTC - Trying to Conceive

Just found out hubby has 0 sperm count

We still have to see the specialist to get more answers as to why he has a 0 count but so far the research we've done online is not giving us a lot of hope.  Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and the outcome.  I've been told by my OB/GYN that I am her 3rd case and the other 2 used sperm donor to conceive. Right that idea creeps me out but this is all new to us, very discouranged very depressing and having anxiety over all this. Thanks for any help or words from experience.

At least you have an answer and a starting point.  I feel it's better if something's wrong to have it wrong with the male since the female is the one who actually carries the baby. I'm sure it will be a long month waiting to meet with the specialist.  Keep us posted!

Mine had a 0 count as well....but his was due to testosterone injections....we stopped them and with in 2 months his count was enough to fertilize eggs for IVF

I am getting donor eggs pushed on me. If someone wants to do donor eggs I have nothing against it at all but it isnt for me. I cant mentally handle the thought of carrying my husband's and another woman's baby. As far as 0 sperm count goes I would take a chance on doing IVF and him getting a procedure done called TESE or TESA. What they will do is the day you would go in for egg removal they would have him of course be there and they would take him into a different room to do his procedure. They take a needle and place it in his testicals and withdraw sperm that way. From different things I have read it says there have been a lot of guys with 0 count but when they done this procedure they would actually end up finding some sperm. Good luck
