Ovulation length

I'm using an app on my phone/tablet called WomanLog to track my cycle. It asked me to enter my average cycle length and length of ovulation. It defaulted to 14 days for the ovulation length. How do I know if that's right? Does anyone recommend the over the counter ovulation tests? I've never used them before.

I would not recommend using an app for ovulationg because not everyone ovulates on day 14. You need to get some ovulation strips as well as a basal body thermometer. Once you get the thermometer go to fertilityfriend.com and it will teach you how to chart your temps for ovulation. Good luck

Ideally you can count back 14 days from the first day of your period and that was when you ovulated. Although it can very slightly, and its only accurate if you are extremely regular. I would suggest getting wondfos opks from amazon.com or ebay.com they are super cheap but really accurate. Good Luck Hun
