long luteal phase

I know everyone is different but my phase seems to be to long. I got a + opk on 5/7 so I'm guessing I Oed 5/9 and AF is due 5/26 so if that's correct it would be 18 days or 19 if I Oed 5/8. I keep saying I need to temp but I never do so after this AF I need to in case my phase is to long. From what I read normal is 12-16. I can find a ton of info on short ones but nothing about long ones. Anyone know what can be done for long phases?

How do you know your LP is 18 or 19 days long?  Are you saying AF is due 5/26 no matter when you O'd?  That's the way I'm reading what you said.  Your LP normally stays the same length every cycle (unless you've done something like taking progesterone or other supplements). So if you O'd 5/8 and your LP is 18 days, AF would be due 5/26 (the LP is measured from the day after you O to the day before AF starts - so in this case your LP is 5/9 - 5/25).  If you O'd 5/9, AF is due 5/27.

How long after your positive opks have you gotten AF previous cycles?

It's more likely that your LP is in the 12-16 day range & that Oing 5/8 or 5/9 has AF due a few days earlier than you are expecting.

I'm not aware of anything wrong with having a LP or 18 or 19 days, though.

Just going by when my expected af due date is and it is very possible it may come a few days earlier. So I really need to do a temp chart this cycle.
