Progesterone suppositories - Anybody else on them? Lots of questions?

So my doctor started me on progesterone suppositories after noting a short luteal phase and looking at my bloodwork my progesterone was way low during the luteal phase. I was kind of confused as to why he would start me on progesterone after ovulation. Does that mean he is building my body up with the hormone for next cycle? Has anybody else experienced any side effects using the progesterone? My abdomen seems to be sore.

I have for the most part only used the progesterone suppositeries after getting a bfp.  But i know gals who have used it after o and this is to build up your uterine linning so it is ready for a fertilized egg to implant.  Good luck

I start them 2 days after O. It aids in making a thicker uterine lining. Then if you do get preggers it has a nice place to snuggle into. I take them till AF or stay on them till 10 weeks if I get BFP.
My gut hurt for a day or so. Nothing more really
