Clomid questions...

My doctor won't give me a script, I've been trying for over 3 years to have another child. I've been doing lots of reading/research and my DF and I have decided to get it from an online pharmacy. This may be our only chance at having a child together. It makes us sad it has come to this, but it gives us hope it might still be possible.

My questions are:
What would you do?
Did you ever use Clomid?
What dose did you take/when?
Did you have success?
Did you have any "bad reactions" with it?

I'm just trying to stay positive and calm. I don't want to get my hopes up just for more disappointment. Any comments are welcomed, just please no bashing. I'm Extremely Sensitive right now and finding out all I did at my last appointment... Thanks ladies.💕

Firs of all, I'm sorry hun! Hugs!!

I've never used it but would love to hear what others say. I've thought about ordering online too.

What reason does your doctor have for not giving it to you? I would go to a different doctor before going with an online pharmacy. Clomid can cause ovarian cysts and thinning of your uterine lining. It really should be monitored by a doctor. Good luck!

She won't give me a reason.

I do get cysts randomly, but they always go away. I've never had a real problem with them.
It's like she doesn't want me to get pregnant again or something. Idk what to do. I'm frustrated, sad, and at my whits end. I just want answers.
When I had my miscarriage she didn't even say much. I was so upset and had questions, but she really didn't answer them.
I don't want to switch doctors, she's been for me for almost 11 years now - only way I'd switch would be if she retired/quit or died. I don't see any of those things happening anytime soon. She is an excellent doctor when it came to my pregnancies, she just seems like she doesn't want to help create a pregnancy. =\

If she isn't helping you then she isn't an excellent doctor. I know it's tough to switch when you like someone, but many times it's what best for you to make the switch. Will she refer you to a specialist? Insurance may not cover it, but a lot of times their office will work with you.

Switch doctors !! Just get a referral or just go to one
Clomid has to be monitored by a doctor every month for it to work properly. Plus side effects include twins or more if not used properly. I was on it for four cycles and it has wicked side effects dizziness.
I'm 11 weeks pregnant now :)

She didn't even mention a specialist. And I just asked if there was anything she could do to help us. She basically said no and give it another year - I think 3 years of waiting is long enough having had a child before with no problems and then having a miscarriage. You'd think she would have done SOMETHING besides tell me to use OPKs.

We fully understand we could end up with twins or triplets, we're totally fine with that :) if it would happen that way, we might stop after that, or not. We're not sure yet. Even if we end up with just one more, we already know that we will eventually try again for another. I've read about the side effects, it's not pleasant, but it'd be totally worth it for us- we strongly desire a family together. I've said before I would do whatever it takes to have a baby or babies with him. We're fully commuted to this, he's fully on board and on the same page, and very understanding. He's by my side 100% and it makes me love him that much more. He's an amazing man and an even partner/soon-to-be spouse. He's even said that if he HAS TO take something too, he will. He wants a baby just as bad I do. It's sweet & comforting knowing he feels exactly as I do.

I was just going to order the 100mg and cut them in quarters, so it lasts longer - it's like $100 for 60 of the 100mg pills. My insurance won't cover it, so I figured this was my best option. And we've discussed this and it's ideally what we can afford and are comfortable with spending within our monthly budget. I'm still trying to figure out what days would be best though because I have short (24-26 day) cycles. I ovulate around days 9-10. So it's a bit tricky trying to figure that part out.

And congrats! I'm happy it worked for you. Are you have one or twins?

I just hate to switch for almost after 11 years =\ I just wish she would help. Maybe if I told her how serious we are and I'm considering taking it into our own hands - maybe then she will fully listen and do something to help us.

I can deal with the side effects, I dc. I just want a family with him. He's on the same page I am and has even said if he HAS TO he will take something too! He's just as committed to this I am and stands by my side 100% through this all. We're at our whits end and at a loss.

I'm not try keep my faith there, it's just hard. Especially when you see a pos woman who can't parent to save their life constantly getting pregnant - when we obviously know what we're doing and can support and raise a child and it just doesn't happen, month after month. It's just hard and depressing. I keep telling myself, "one day" but 3 years of that, it's very difficult.

And congrats to you! :)
Do you know if it's 1 or 2 babies in there? Lol
