Background: My name is Laura-Ann! I am a stay at home homeschooling mom of 4. I have a 9 1/2 yr old, 6 yr old, 4 1/2 yr old, and 13 1/2 month old. I have been married to my amazing husband Quentin for 10 yrs, we have been together for 14. I suffer from PCOS and I rarely ovulate. Each of my children took work to concieve and I am so blessed to have each and every one of them. We are now TTC #5 and our going on 14 months TTC.

My Stash:

4 more opks to test out my LH surge. Then 3 ClearBlue Advanced HPTs, 3 FRERs, 2 88cent tests, 9 wondfo hpts, and 4 ebay cheapies.

CD 1- Af began on September 30th after 10 days of provera. It was my first pp period since having myy son a year earlier.

CD- 41 I began to notice ovary twinges. I took an opk it was negative. We bed.

CD-46 thought my body may of been trying to produce EWCM. Opks still negative. We bed.

CD-48-49 again thought I noticed some EWCM, also was having cramping and ovary twinges. Hubby and I bed both days. Opks were VERY negative! Started using a heating pad to try to help me ovulate.

CD-51 more ovary twinges, we bed. Started getting annoyed with my body and decided to try give it a boost. Soy Day 1- 80mg

CD52- Soy Day2- 120mg Noticed EWCM but didnt think much of it. Its not uncommon while on Soy

Cd53- Soy Day 3-160mg Noticed more EWCM. Checked my cervis it was HSO. Still assumed it was Soy related. Wasn't having any ovary sensations at all.

CD 54- Soy Day 4 - 160 mg. TONS of EWCM, very HSO cervix. Late evening I noticed lots of uterine pressure and ovary twinges. No pains, but still very noticable. Also was slightly nausous, and had a mild headache. Decided to take an OPK on a 30 min hold. Positive showed up immediatey. Pic below

CD 55- Hubby and I bed at 8:30am. I had EWCM and a high, firm, VERY open cervix. I took two sets of opks. One around 1 pm and one around 7pm. $ tests are SUPER positive, Wondfos are super close. I have had mild cramping today.

1dpo- Emailed my DO about doing blood work 10/1 to confirm O. Today has been a bit of an emotional rollar coaster. It has set in I have indeed ovulated!! I am excited but nervous that we may of not bed enough. I guess time will tell!! Today I have been bloated, my breast have been tender, I have had a few ovary twinges. I feel like I can be confident that my progesterone is rising and I did infact ovulate! So now I am in my 2ww....how amazing, and awesome is that!! I thanked God multiple times today just for this accomplishment!! Here are today's opks...and my last.

2dpo- So today I got an email back from my DO. She ordered a progesterone work up for Monday! So I am excited to get thet done. Unfortunately she was very stand offish. Had no interest in finding out what was going on. I was very disappointed! And annoyed! She seemed so amazing at first!! Today has been kinda up and down. I temped at 5am and my temp was 97.9. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep. So I got up, and waited for the kids to get up and we made a run to Walmart. Then I came back and cooked all day. Hubby and I bed again. Then my kiddos started getting sick (2 of them are throwing up) At the beginning of the day I had a ton of energy. Now I am dragging. The day also started with SEVERE bloating, but that is better this evening. I have had a few twinges, and mild breast tenderness! I also took an opk at 1pm and 8pm. Both were still positive!!

3 DPO- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! It was a pretty good day but I am exhausted!!! My temp this morning was 97.8 so I got my cross hairs! And my opk was negative this evening so much surge finally ended. My cervix is LFC little to no CM. Right now nothing symptom wise that makes me feel good about getting a BFP, but I know its early!! I did have an increase in urination, cramping, a headache, a heavy feeling in my uterus, and like I mentioned I am exhausted! But otherwise I am good! Excited to start taking HPTS for the fun of it :)

Here is my negative opk

4DPO- I woke up ateast 6 times to pee last night, not a clue what thats about but it was annoying. I also woke once with some pretty rough cramps. Now having some breast tendernes. My temps is still nice and high. Took my last opk..negative. Still cramping horribly today! CP is LFC and I am having a clumpy sticky CM.

MOST RECENT UPDATE:

 Progesterone check Monday!!

5DPO- Well my temp dipped big time today. (See chart in OP) Considering all the cramping if I was farther into myself I would try to assume implantation, but I know its jut too early for that :( So I guess its a secondary estrogen surge! I woke up with dry nasal passages. I am also having severe cramps around my left ovary and in my uterus!! And I am bloated!

Eeek just experienced round ligament type pains when I stood up to quickly! I suppose it could be just from hormones, but I am hoping its a great sign! I also have noticed belching! And when checking my CM which has increased slightly it had a slight discoloration to it like I may be spotting some. But its so light I can barely tell! Still cramping pretty badly, alternating pains from my left to my right ovary as well! Hubby said "Ugh Oh your pregnant!" LOL I keep reminding myself this is WAY to early to be having real symptoms. But man am I hopeful!

5dpo HPT- OH YES I DID! LOL I have to enjoy the 2ww when I have one right!

6dpo- Been up all night puking! Was also running a fever!! This sucks!! My temp is WAY up this AM. Took another HPT even though I am not feeling confident in this cycle now :( and I swear I see someting which I know would be impossible even if I were 7 dpo. I think I am so dehydrated and my urine was just so concentrated that I may of picked up on my body's natural HCG. I guess time will tell.

Feeling better this evening, slugish but better!! Trying to drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate. Slightly crampy, still having RLP here and there. My cervix is still low, firm, and closed.

7dpo- So extremely exhausted today and moody!! I mean straight up bitchy!! Feeling discouraged, feeling like its highly unlikely I am pregnant! Took the blood test and didnt get the results back which just made me even more pissy. So yea...its just a pissy kinda day! I am also bloated, gassy! MFC cervix!

7-8dpo test

My bruise from the blood draw!

8dpo- Testd this morning, again I feel like I see something, I think its darker then yesterday's test, but its so light I am worried its just the tests :( Today I am feeling perfectly normally which is bumming me out :( I have a little headache but otherwise thats it. I did check my cervix and it was high, firm, and closed. I also had some discolored (brown or pinkish) CM . But I have so little CM it was super hard to get much to really see. But I took a pic which I will post below...TMI WARNING!! Also posting my Hpt. Praying my temp rises tomorrow and I get some hope!

Had a bought of nausea earlier now having HORRIBLE indigstion tonight, a cotton mouth. I have drank a ton of water but it hasnt helped. Praying its a good sign! Excited to test in the AM

9-10 dpo- Got my BFP

Week 2 starts on day 14 and goes up to day 21.
It is your 3e pregnancy week.

Length of your baby: 0 millimeter / 0 inches
Weight of your baby: 0 gram / 0 ozs

This week begins your `real` pregnancy. The release of your egg is counted as day 14 and fertilization occurs either on that day or over the next 48 hours.

Sperm

When they are born, baby girls have enough egg cells to last their whole life. In males however, sperm cells by the million are created on a daily basis and take approximately 61 days to mature. A mature sperm has a round head, a middle section and a long tail which they use to swim forwards. The head of the sperm contains the genetic material of the donor. One sperm cell lives for 48 hours and can travel at a speed of 4mm per minute.

Ovulation and fertilization

At the time of ovulation the cervix becomes softer and wider and the mucus becomes thinner, more elastic and less acidic, allowing the sperm cells to pass through more easily. At the time of ejaculation two hundred million sperm are released. They swim through the uterus to the fallopian tubes where they wait for ovulation to occur.

The mature egg cell (follicle) is the size of a cherry and `jumps` from the ovaries when ovulation begins. There are some women who claim to feel when ovulation begins. They say they experience a pain in the left or right of their abdomen. This is known as ovulation or central pain. It is possible on ovulation weeks you may have more vaginal discharge than normal.

The eggs cannot move on their own and are helped by tiny hairs on the inside on the fallopian tubes known as ciliae. The ciliae create waves in the direction of the uterus and the follicle travels along these tiny hairs. Because only one egg is released from one side at a time, only some of the sperm will find themselves at the correct place when an egg is released. There are also millions of sperm which never make it to through the uterus because they are defective or just poor swimmers. Only a few hundred will make the journey to the fallopian tubes. Once they egg arrives they will push with their heads to permeate the membrane into the egg cell. Only one sperm will be successful and once his head is inside, his tail will break off and the membrane will close making it impossible for any more sperm cells to enter. At this point the genetic characteristics of both egg and sperm merge and the sex will be determined.

If the sperm contains the X chromosome then the baby will be a girl, a Y and it will be a boy who grows in your womb.

It may be of interest to know that sperm containing the Y chromosome (the male) are generally the fastest swimmers but those with the X chromosome (the female) are bigger and likely to live longer. It has been suggested that if you have intercourse three or more days before ovulation and become pregnant then there is a higher chance that the baby will be a girl. This is because the sperm containing the X chromosome is more likely to survive long enough to wait for the egg to be released while those containing the Y chromosome are less likely to survive that length of time. However, if you have intercourse on or around the exact moment of ovulation then there is more chance the sperm containing the Y chromosome, being the fastest swimmers will reach the egg first resulting in your baby being a boy.

In the case of identical twins only one egg is fertilised but the egg splits into two embryos which both develop and grow into babies. Identical twins occur purely by chance and there is no evidence to suggest this is hereditary. Fraternal twins however occur when two eggs are released at the same time and both are fertilised. Having fraternal twins, unlike identical twins is hereditary and passed most commonly through the female side of the family. Fraternal twins can be either sex and their DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid)will be different, while identical twins are always two boys or two girls and they share the same genetic information.

Mark your calendar!

Here's when you can expect several key pregnancy milestones to happen. (All dates are best guesses, since every woman's pregnancy is different.)

November 23, 2014 (2 weeks pregnant)

Your baby's conceived

Doctors start counting pregnancy from the first day of your last period, so at conception you're considered 2 weeks along.

See what happens in your body during conception.

December 7, 2014 (4 weeks pregnant)

Positive pregnancy test

This week or next, you should be able to see a positive result on a home pregnancy test.

See what your baby looks like in your womb at 4 weeks.

January 18, 2015 (10 weeks pregnant)

Your baby's heart beats

At your next prenatal visit, you'll be able to hear your baby's heartbeat for the first time (unless you already heard it at an early ultrasound).

See what your baby looks like in your womb at 10 weeks.
