I found this list  of the top 10 things couples do wrong when TTC - can fixing these mistakes really help?

1. Not having enough sex
2. Having too much sex
3. Sticking with the same position
4. Assuming the woman is the problem
5. Mistiming ovulation
6. Having sex the day of ovulation
7. Using lubricant
8. Rushing to a specialist
9. Not getting help soon enough
10. Neglecting your general health

[the link has details on each point as to why each thing is a problem, but it's a long slideshow deal I didn't want to copy and paste out]

Having too much sex? Using lubricant? I'm not sure either of those by themselves would be a mistake. Maybe if the lubricant has spermicide?
And position- maybe depends on which position? But some are better for getting those little guys where they need to be right?

The rest I agree with though.

Oh and I think another top mistake is stressing too much about it. Easier said than done though, especially after trying for a while I'm sure!

I think the only ones that make sense are: Lubricant (if it's spermicide), neglecting your general health, not having enough sex, and having too much sex (if your partner has a lower count). Lol

Oohh the partner having lower count makes sense.

I think mistiming O or having sex on day of O (if only on day of O) also make sense. Your best chances are a day or two before O so the guys have time to swim up and meet the egg.

All lubricant can harm sperm. With the exception of a very few that are designed for ttc like preseed.
