D Mannose and TTC

Ugh! I have been taking d mannose to prevent/treat UTIs while TTC. I assumed it was ok when TTC bc it's all natural. Well apparently it prevents conceptions. I'm so upset we are entering our fertile time. I could not find out much about how long it stays in your system but what little I found out it seemed short lived. One place said stop one day before O and the day after. I shouldn't O till I say or Monday. I took some today.

Anyone have any knowledge?

I was taking d-mannose long term while TTC, I'm actually still taking it. It's only anecdotal but we conceived quickly without issue.

Ok that is reassuring! What little I found was very negative.

But what do you mean anecdotal?

Anecdotal is just personal experience. I'm not a study there's details on all the veriables.

Honestly d-mannose is naturally occuring, so some amount is safe. Or at least I will assume so until they tell women ttc to not eat apples.

So many things *can* be potentially unsafe especially in large amounts. Even vitamins A and C can be problematic in large enough quantities.

If you're concerned stop taking it for the few days around ovulation. Being an undigestable sugar it's excreted quickly.
