since last night my 4 month old has had a cough, not too bad but it wakes him up and makes the lil guy cry. i called his ped. and they said unless he has a fever or it doesn't go away after 7 days there's nothing they can do. I just want to make him a little more comfortable, especially at night. I know he's not supposed to have honey since he's under 1yr..any other suggestions? home remedies? thanks!! =-)

I used Johnson's Baby Vapor Bath and then put vapor rub on DS's feet with socks.  It really helped us out.

There's a product that I used when my daughter had RSV at 4 weeks. It's called Kids 0-9 cough and cold. It's a homeopathic remedy and works amazingly.

I am a Canadian, breastfeeding (it IS best, there is nothing even close to that nutrition and bond), co sleeping, extended rear facing (if you don't rear face to the maximum of your seat, you're NOT doing all you can to protect your child), baby wearing, Non spanking (I want my kids to respect me, not fear me) ANTI- CIO, homemade baby food making, cloth diapering, organic (chemical free household!) recycling mama to TWO and one on the way! My husband is my equal and best friend, not my master and I believe basic health care should be a human RIGHT, not a privilege.

the baby vapor rub works or you can turn the shower on and let it run for a few mins. then there will be steem in the bathroom. go in with your son and stand in the shower. don't get wet point the shower head down. the is like haveing a humidifer in his room. that always helped both my sons. it calmed them down and put them to sleep hope i helped.
