I have a lot of questions. My fiance and I JUST found out we are pregnant and I am super happy but also worried. I don't have insurance right now. I need to get it from the state asap but I'm not sure where to start. I also thik I should apply for welfare but I'm not sure how to do that either. Can someone please please please help me?

I had a social worker when I first got on state aid. We have what's called an Economic Support office in WI and they set you up with a worker who helps you apply for everything. Congrats and good luck :)

I agree. Going to the state for assistance will be able to help you and point you in the right direction. Each state is different so I can't really help with any other advice..

you should be able to look online and maybe even complete some of the forms online... at least online will be able to tell you what info you need to apply for help..... congrats on the baby

In my state it the department of children and family that does Medicaid. You could just google what assistance you need because most applications like everything else is done online.

The majority of state assistance things require a pretty universal list of stuff that they wanna see. Things like: id, ss cards, proof of pregnancy(for getting insurance, look into a low-cost/free clinic to get an early ultrasound, it counts.), proof of address, proof of income, prood of bills (sometimes) and probably one or two other things i can't think of. lol. But congratulations!!! How exciting!! Sounds like you're lookin in the right direction for all the preperations. :)
