Is it ok ? My roots are growing in and its looking a littttle crazy just wanted to make sure its ok to use hair dye.

i've heard you can. it does nothing. but my mom wont let me (i'm 16) she said its not good. I can once she born. but I think everyone has different oppions. I also heard your fine after the first trimester.
maybe ask your doctor and see what she says?

Because your hormones are different, your hair may not respond the same to the dye. My ob didn't advise it, but he didn't forbid it until 36 weeks. After that, it's a no-no.

i wouldn't do it while pregnant honestly. some will say it's ok and some say it's not.

yes you can! I did with both of my pregnancies. My dr. said as long as your in a well ventilated area

I'd use an ammonia free dye, just to be on the safe side. Thats what my OB said when I asked.

I have been told some doctors will let you during the first trimester, and I've been told that some doctors will tell you to wait until after the pregnancy.  I dyed mine while pregnant with my daughter (although she did turn out fine) and my mother was furious when she found out.  She said this to me, which I felt made sense.
"The chemicals from the hair dye enter into your system through your pores and everything you take in is shared with your baby because your body will give to the baby first.  Why would you want to risk those chemicals harming your unborn child?"

I'm not saying her statement is right, but I hadn't thought of it that way.  I never dyed my hair with my son while I was pregnant with him.  I dyed my hair once with my daughter while I was pregnant with her.  Both are healthy, and they were when they were born.  If I ever had a third child, I don't think I'd dye my hair.  That's just me though.
If you're not sure and want to make a well informed decision, ask your doctor to see what he/she thinks.  Get as much info as you can.  :)
