Prenatal exercise

Oh my, this morning BD and I decided to do some yoga together. I did some yoga and then did some prenatal pilates. Man that was a work out, but it felt really good! Baby liked it too :)

Any mamas do little works outs while prego?

I did yoga before and during some of this pregnancy but once I got into my third trimester and I'm too big it hurts my back. So I'm going start doing it since it was the way I lost weight with my first.

I've never been one for exercise. I'm kinda lazy in that sense. :)

Hell yes! Proud to say it, and I wish every mom can do what I did. I swear, I had the easiest pregnancy due to exercise. No back problems, no swollen feet, nothing! My baby was born extremely healthy (7lbs 11oz), vaginally. The only odd thing was I had two bags of waters - but that doesn't count!

I would go 3 miles on the elliptical every day and go on many easy hikes with my husband. I actually went on a 2 mile hike about 5 hours before I woke up with contractions 2 minutes a part. So I am not joking when I say I exercised "until I had a baby"! I did prenatal yoga 4xweekly on top of my cardio. When I was 4 weeks PP I already weighed less then I did pre-preg and still had awesome toned thighs.

There is NO reason to stop because you are pregnant. I had so many people tell me I am crazy. (Someone even had the nerve to tell me I was HARMING my baby!) Nope. Its awesome all around.

I was never a hardcore exerciser, so I don't really think now is the time to start. But i did notice how much less round ligament pains I have if i exercise.

Im usually lazy too. But it feels good to just go through a ten minute routine, makes you feel energized and stretched out :)

I agree, now is not the time to start, but it isn't the time to stop either. Sounds like you already are doing a good job ! :)
But never be afraid to take easy walks. Its hard to not use pregnancy as an excuse to eat bon bons and hang out all day, but you wont regret if you are semi-active. I promise!

Oh yeah, I walked yesterday. Still waiting for it to be consistently nice, this weather is whacky

Amen to that! Our weather has been pretty odd too. But I am sort of used to having it this way (In Denver). Like the other week we had 2+feet of snow and now its long sleeve weather out there today. Needs to make up its mind :)
