28 weeks pregnant, and lower right back pain

Hi, im 28 weeks pregnant, and I had a kidney infection about 4 weeks ago, which caused a stint to be put into my right kidney, and then it had been too uncomfertable, so they took it out. The pain went away, and i had no issues after the stint was taken out, but since i woke up this morning i have had pain in my right side and back, and it almost feels like my hips are being pulled on... The pain in my back hurts when i move around, turn, stand up, or climb into a truck, and it also hurts when i breathe in too heavy. i also have some uncomfertable pain in my low low abdomen, and i know my fetal fiber nectin test is positive. Also, I was having a few mild contractions according to the machine in the hospital about a week ago, but im not sure if im having contractions now. Someone help?? My doc keeps saying its my kidney pain from when the stint was taken out, and keeps upping my antibiotics, but like i said, it went away... and then BAM its back and different...

first drink ice cold water I mean as cold as you can handle it and lay on your left side for an hour. If its still the same and regular go to the doc get hook up again and ask to have your cervix checked.

Maybe your baby shifted towards your back and is putting pressure on wounds not healed all the way. I agree with the first mom tho. That's some good advice.

Hi i know what you are going through . I had the same pain in my lower lft side of my back and yes it is from having contractions and that also means you are then likely going to have back labor . here is what i did for the pain in my back i got an old sock the long ones and put rice in it then all you do is heat it up in the micrwav ... but like i said i had the pain with both of my girls so if you ever have anything else you want to know just ask .

Try to drink some water, and lay down when you are having pain. If that doesn't work you can always go to L&D. Good luck!

It could be the kidney acting up but it also could be sciatic nerve pain or contractions. If you're concerned, definitely see your doctor and ask for some treatment for the kidney OTHER than MORE antibiotics like drinking more water, drinking cranberry juice or taking AZO Cranberry...

I had something similar and it was sciatic nerve pain. Soooo annoying! I layed down with a heating pad and that worked well for me, but ask the doc! They just kept telling me it was normal pregnancy pains, but I still bugged the heck out of them.

Am 28 wks also. I get that too so I usually rest on my left side and drink some water. If that doesn't help I call my doc.

I agree with some of the others. Try drinking some water, make sure you're drinking enough fluids. Take it easy and lay on your left side, you can use a body pillow or some pillows to put between your legs to be more comfy and it may help relieve some of the pain. If it continues you should go to L&D maybe, better safe than sorry.

Make sure your peeing ALOT. Even if ypu don't feel lile you need to. Your kidney might be filling with urine. Happened to md and the pain was horrible. Feel better
