Baby Shower question.

I'm having a pretty small shower coming up this weekend. I really didn't want a cake just because I want little to nothing left over after the party ( I just went grocery shopping). That and my favors are cake pops, so I dont think anyone will miss cake, its a BBQ. I was telling a friend of mine and she said I have to have a cake, lol. Should I just get a small cake, make one, or just not have one at all? What would you do?

I would either make or buy a very small one. Its tradition to have a cake at a baby shower.

you could make a cake, buy a small one, or maybe you can make cupcakes. its really up to you.

Yes it is! Lol, but I'm trying to consider my guests. That's why I asked.

Maybe since it's a BBQ and people will be moving around, cupcakes would be better? With pink/blue frosting (whatever you're having)??

I just went to my SIL's baby shower a few days ago and she had cupcakes. I don't think you HAVE to have a cake. It's your shower. I say, do it your way. :)

I did red velvet cupcakes. I only had a few extra, satisfied my chocolate craving for a few days;)

im actually CRAVING cupcakes now. so if i dont get some before sunday, i'm pretty sure i'm making some, lol!
